Martin Brothers were thrilled to be appointed the landscape construction contract of this project. What is now the Johnson hotel was formally the Brisbane Transport Centre on Boundary St in Spring Hill. Melbourne Developers the Asian Pacific Group (APG) converted this heritage building into one of their five-star Art Series Hotels – “The Johnson” after famous Australian artist Michael Johnson.
 

We worked alongside director of APG – Will Deague to and landscape architects Urbis to come up with a compelling design that worked within the building's heritage.
 

The project highlight was installing two 10 tonne Date Palms to the four court of the hotel on Boundary Street. With a full road closure of Boundary Street and a 200-tonne crane we installed these beautiful Date Palms, we had sourced and delivered from Southern New South Wales.
