The story

Established and directed by brothers William and Jack Martin, the company began as a landscape construction and maintenance business, servicing a broad range of clients in the residential, domestic, commercial and industrial sectors.

 

The team has worked on a stellar line up of Brisbane hotspots including Six’s and Seven’s, the Calile Hotel, Howard Smith Wharves, Pottery Barn and David Jones James Street. Martin Brothers services an impressive class of high profile clients including McNab, Stockwell Building and Development, 

 

Faced with the COVID-19 pandemic, William and Jack identified a gap in the market that would not only aid in combatting the pandemic, but would allow them to provide ongoing employment to the current team, and provide employment to many others. 

 

The new Martin Brothers service offering in Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), is a specialised operation in environmental sanitisation services. These services are delivered in line with the Australian Government’s COVID-19 IPC guidelines, specific to environmental cleaning and sanitisation.

MAY 2014

William and Jack are mowing neighbourhood lawns with their Fathers lawn mower whilst at university studying business. 

JUNE 2014

July 2014

William and Jack drop out of university to pursue landscaping and Martin Brothers was incorporated. The first office was in an old development site on Montague Road. Staff count 2.

William and Jack complete their first commercial project on James St being the 65 James St extension of Six's and Seven's. Staff count 3.

Martin Brothers secure maintenance contracts for Mirvac, Sentinel Property Group, JLL and West Point Auto's. 

Martin Brothers move to a small office on James St. Staff count 5.

William and Jack split roles in business. William takes operations and construction management while Jack takes sales, estimating and finance. 

Martin Brothers complete 'The Stores' in West End

Martin Brothers move office to 67 McLachlan St Fortitude Valley.

Martin Brothers secure work with Point Corp including Point Luxe in New Farm and maintenance contract on the Highgate, Sephora and Point Luxe.

Martin Brothers secure key projects with Hutchinson Builders in Wests Rugby Union, the Sage Hotel, and David Jones. 

Martin Brothers finish countless projects on time prior to the Christmas holiday including David Jones, Wests Rugby Union, Sage Hotel, 16 Gibbon St to name a few. Staff count 30. 

JANUARY 2017

Martin Brother Secure major ongoing fencing contracts as well as securing Portside maintenance contract with Brookfield. 

April 2017

Martin Brothers secure work for Aria Property Group including several maintenance contracts and major projects such as St Julien and Fish Lane. 

June 2017

Martin Brothers secure work for Stockwell and QM properties as well as celebrate 3 years in business. Staff count 35. 

OCTOBER 2017

Martin Brothers secure South City Square for Pellicano and Oxley and Stirling for Aria as well as ongoing maintenance contracts for customers such as Cav Corp, Colliers, Aria, Northshore and Pellicano. Staff count 43+ including middle management. 

November 2017

Martin Brothers secure McNab's biggest project to date in Atira Student accommodation in Toowong, the War Memorial project at Brisbane Grammar School, Point Corps Magnus and South City Square stage 2 with Pellicano to name a few. This concluded another great year of growth and learning. 

JANUARY 2018

Martin Brothers secure major fencing contract at renowned residential subdivision Providence. This saw on average six Martin Brothers on site completing numerous fences for 12 months. 

April 2018

Martin Brothers employed their first full time videographer to the team to showcase all of our projects to followers around the country. This was a progressive step forward and would begin to shape the now reputable and household brand. 

AUGUST 2018

Martin Brothers forge new relationship with Scape Student Accommodation building "Scape Park" as well as an amazing beach front property at Sunshine Beach.

mARCH 2018

Among the numerous commercial projects Martin Brothers sought after numerous high end residential projects and were successful with the likes of Shaun Lockyer Architects, Base Architects, Ray White New Farm and Thallon Mole Group. This added another dimension to the dynamic team. 

JUNE 2018

Martin Brothers continued to secure high end residential projects working with the likes of Vokes and Peters an Synergy Property Partners as well as numerous large format projects in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane. 

NOVEMBER 2018

Martin Brothers commence works designing and installing works at Howard Smith Wharves and the Fantauzzo Hotel as well as numerous high end residential and commercial projects. We also acquired and fitted out our office in Fortitude Valley as well as expanded to our holding yard in Newstead. 

Martin Brothers continue to work at Howard Smith Wharves as well as conclude work at South City
Square Stage 3 for Pellicano.

Martin Brothers celebrates 5 years of business in landscape construction and maintenance. 

Martin Brothers complete landscaping design and construction work at the Normanby Hotel.

Martin Brothers deliver landscape design and construction services to McNab's largest ever project, Lotus Tower and deliver Stage 3 of the South City Square for Pellicano. 

Martin Brothers commence landscape construction works at Stockland Newport Retirement Living Facility.

November 2019

MB offers in house landscape design servieces.

FEBRUARY 2020

MB with the rest of the world take on the challenges of COVID 19. Will and Jack make the decision to utilise their skilled staff base and train them to become Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) sanitising specialists. 

MARCH 2020

Martin Brothers IPC grows rapidly and employs outside of the existing landscape workforce bringing the new service line to 50 employees.

may 2020

Martin Brothers IPC expands into Sydney with employing over 200 staff members.

Martin Brothers commence works with Palm Lake Resort in Toowoomba on an incredible project and the construction industry stabilising with confidence returning to the residential market.

november 2020

The construction industry stabilised and the future worklog is strong again. Significant interest in the residential market returns and some incredible projects are scheduled to be completed before Christmas.

Martin Brothers celebrate their 6th Christmas together with enormous gratitude towards the team and clients for supporting them through COVID with a very positive 2021 forecasted.
